(Newswire.net — April 22, 2013) Sacramento,CA — The only way you used to be able to get your hands on the best smartphones would be to sign a multi-year contract with a major carrier. This is not true anymore. Now you can have access to these phones with pre-paid plans. Sure you will have to pay more upfront, but when you consider the savings of a pre-paid plan over a traditional 2-year contract you will end up saving hundreds of dollars.

Pre-paid plans used to be viewed as the option for those with bad credit, but that is not the case anymore. Now the Iphone 5 is availabe to many pre-paid carriers such as Cricket, Straight Talk, and Solavei. These plans provide the same access to carriers’ data and voice networks, but without the lengthy contract. Not to mention the big penalties if you leave before your 2 yrs. are up,  and other creative ways they seem to penalize you such as overage fees.

Amazon.com offers such phones as the Apple Iphone 5, Sony Xperia Z C6602, Samsung Galaxy S III T999 4G, Nokia Lumina 920 and many more. If you can not afford to pay for the entire phone upfront their is financing options available. Here is a quick description of these phones:

The iPhone 5 is the best iPhone to date. Faster, thinner and lighter than before. Also featuring better connectivity than ever before, it will redefine how you use your smartphone. It’s got the best app store behind it and a huge ecosystem of compatible accessories and cases. Plus, it has a beautiful high-resolution 4-inch display, a great 8MP camera, speedy main and graphics processors and access to 4G networks (at least on Solavei)

The Sony Xperia Z has a 441ppi 5 inch screen with 1080×1920 resolution. The latest Android Jelly Bean, 13 MP camera and a Quad Core Krait processor all encased in a slim chassis along with certification for water and dust resistance announce Sony’s intent for the smartphone market in a beautiful fashion.

Samsung GALAXY S III just gets us. Little things, like staying awake when you look at it and keeping track of loved ones. Designed for humans, it goes beyond smart and fulfills your needs by thinking as you think, acting as you act.Even after the unveiling of the flagship 5-inch Samsung Galaxy S 4, the 4.8-inch Galaxy S III is an impressive phone. It has Samsung’s bright, poppy Super AMOLED display, a fast 1.5GHZ dual core processor that easily handles games and apps, an excellent 8MP camera and access to the fastest 4G networks.

The Lumia 920 comes with a brilliant 4.5’’ PureMotion HD+ display and a 8 MP camera with a Carl Zeiss lens, PureView technology and Optical Image Stabilization for blur-free pictures even when the camera is shaking or is in low light conditions. The Nokia Lumia 920 Black also comes with Wireless charging and offers a large array of Qi compatible chargers to choose from.

Whichever phone you decide to use, you now have a choice of getting it cheaper up front by getting into a lengthy contract or paying for your phone up front and using a pre-paid service which will save you more in the long run.. Solavei, who is partnered up with T-mobile and uses their nationwide network, offers a no contract service which also gives you an opportunity to reduce your rate to $0.
