(Newswire.net — April 13, 2016) Huntington Beach, California — SlipIns (www.slipins.com), the company that innovated and popularized SurfSkins, has been getting very positive feedback from the scuba diving community after they discovered their SlipIn products in the spring of 2015.

Scuba divers discovered SlipIns online and made their products instantly famous in the scuba diving community. “We never thought of the diving industry as a market,” says Robin Chesnie, one of the two owners of SlipIns. “It just happened. It’s been so gratifying because it just validates the value of what we have created.”

The concept of SlipIns was born after Chesnie began taking up surfing. Her son was a competitive surfer and helped her hone her knowledge of surfing but she was never convinced to take up the sport until she met her now-business partner and co-owner of SlipIns, Rick Rickman. Rickman is a professional photographer who had to take up the sport after one of his subjects insisted that he would not be permitted to photograph him until he learned to surf. Rickman’s enthusiasm for the sport eventually convinced Chesnie to take up surfing.

Chesnie enjoyed surfing although she found the struggle of getting in and out of the heavy wetsuit wasn’t worth it. She also watched as other people struggled with the same issue. This allowed her to come up with the idea of a product that would make it easier for surfers to get in and out of wetsuits. The concept of the SurfSkin products was then born.

Chesnie and Rickman started looking into some fabrics in January of 2014. They went to a textile show in Los Angeles and sourced fabrics that were bright, fun and appealing. After finding a manufacturer in Huntington Beach, California, they eventually got the first prototypes in the summer of 2014.

The SlipIns innovators did not stop with the SurfSkin line. Not long after their first product was introduced, Chesnie and Rickman launched their GymSkin line. Currently, they have the SurfSkin products, SurfSkin Minis that have the perfect long arms/no-legs cut, and DiveSkins for water sport activities such as surfing, scuba diving, kayaking, snorkeling, water skiing, and paddle boarding; as well as the GymSkins for aerobics, yoga, Zumba, Pilates, Barre, spinning, and general land based workouts.

All of the SlipIns are made with 60 SPF to protect from sun “overexposure” and are not only flattering but also extremely comfortable. The company is in the process of launching their own exclusive patterns.  The patterns will be completely unique as Rickman creates them himself from a blank canvas. SlipIns are all made in the USA.  To learn more about the company, visit www.slipins.com.
