(Newswire.net — October 30, 2019) Orlando, FL — The American Heart Association (AHA) reveals that in the United States, almost half of all adults suffer from cardiovascular disease.

It is important to realize that in the country, heart disease still produces nearly 1 in 4 deaths. It is the top cause of death, followed closely by cancer and chronic respiratory diseases.

A Heart and Stroke statistics by the AHA was published in the Circulation journal.

In this research, it has been shown that around 48 percent of the adult population in the U.S. are living with a form of cardiovascular disease.

It is worth mentioning that cardiovascular disease is actually the umbrella term for various conditions. These include atherosclerosis, heart disease, heart failure, stroke, heart attack, arrhythmia, and heart valve problems.

In the recent years, the AHA report reveals that cardiovascular deaths have skyrocketed not just in the U.S. but around the globe. It has led to 840,678 cardiovascular deaths in 2016, which was a number that has gone up from 836,546 deaths in 2015.

On a global scale, 17.6 million people died from a cardiovascular condition in 2016, compared with 17.9 million in 2015.

There are various risk factors for cardiovascular diseases, such as obesity, living a sedentary lifestyle, and following an unhealthy diet.

Today, more and more researchers are looking into the heart-health benefits of nutrients like B vitamins. It is important to note that these nutrients have long been reputed to work wonders in delivering a wide array of healing effects.

Health authorities even warn that malnutrition is actually considered to be one of the many complications of advanced heart failure.

Scientists carried out a survey involving 100 Canadians who were hospitalized due to heart failure. It has been found that 27 percent had a deficiency of riboflavin and 38 percent of pyridoxine, which are B vitamins.

It is worth noting that the findings of this interesting research were published in the August 2009 Journal of the American Dietetic Association.

In previous research, investigators found that up to one-third of individuals with heart failure had levels of thiamine that are below normal.

It is important to fully realize that B vitamins could be significantly helpful in warding off cardiovascular diseases. It is strongly recommended to increase intake of these nutrients as they can also deliver a range of healing effects.
