(Newswire.net — December 4, 2018) Orlando, FL — TheU.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) warns that in men, the leading causes of cancer death are lung cancer, prostate cancer and colorectal cancer.

It is worth mentioning that in 2003, researchers found almost 288,000 American men died due to cancer.

Experts warn that cigarette smoking is the main culprit of ninety percent of lung cancer.

Health authorities reveal that almost a quarter of those with lung cancer do not suffer from symptoms of advanced cancer during diagnosis.

When it produces symptoms, it often leads to wheezing, coughing up blood, chest pain, shortness of breath, persistent coughing, fever, and weight loss.

The Prostate Cancer Foundation, on the other hand, warns against difficulty in urination, painful or burning urination, erection problems, blood in semen or urine, frequent pain in the thighs, and interrupted urine flow.

When it comes to colorectal cancer, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said many sufferers do not suffer from symptoms in the early stages.

However when symptoms occur, it often leads to persistent abdominal discomfort, such as cramps, gas or pain, rectal bleeding or blood in your stool, or abdominal pain with a bowel movement.

Health authorities strongly recommend resorting to preventive steps to fight inflammation, which initiates cancerous tumor formation and progression.

In studies, it has been found that 30 percent to 40 percent of every type of cancer is preventable through a healthy diet and lifestyle.

It is imperative to avoid exposure to contaminants and toxins found to contribute to its development. Pesticides and herbicides are noxious chemicals that can be found in food.

Scientists strongly recommend opting for organic, locally-grown foods. Animal products with hormones and antibiotics can also contribute to cancer development.

Antibiotics and hormones are often used to increase production, but they are harmful to health. Consumers are also advised to reduce or avoid consumption of food with added sugar and artificial sweeteners.

The American Cancer Society says on their website that “The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC)” has classified processed meat as a carcinogen.

It is worth mentioning that a carcinogen is one that causes cancer. Examples of processed meats to avoid are bacon, sausage, ham, hotdogs, and some deli meats.

In addition to avoiding some foods, there are also cancer-fighting edible items to choose from. They are the ones loaded with antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, and some other healing ingredients.
