(Newswire.net — September 9, 2020) Orlando, FL — Stroke has long been reputed to commonly affect older individuals. However in a study, it appears that this condition increasingly happens to the younger population.

A new government report has shown that there is a rise in the prevalence of strokes among teens and young people.

According to researchers, it is vital to be wary about its risk factors that include diabetes, smoking, hypertension, high cholesterol, and obesity.

Researchers from  the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reveals that there is a rise of more than third in the number of individuals between ages 15 and 44 hospitalized for stroke. It is worth noting this increase occurred between 1995 and 2008.

The investigators believe that the increase may be partly due to the skyrocketing numbers of young individuals with diseases like type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. Experts warn that these conditions are known to affect older adults.

Dr. Mary George, lead researcher, said that diabetes, cholesterol and tobacco use has also increased in adolescents and young adults experiencing stroke.

Dr. George is a medical officer in CDC’s Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention.

The report was published in the Sept. 1 issue of the Annals of Neurology.

It is essential to be warned against the risk factors of this condition. There are actually proven ways found to work wonders in reducing the risk of stroke. Experts have long been recommending making healthy food choices to ward off this condition.

It is interesting to learn that some of the most therapeutic spices like turmeric have been found to aid in battling with this disease.

In Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicine, turmeric has long been widely resorted to for a range of medicinal purposes.

Scientists suggest that turmeric may aid in limiting stroke risk, and this is due to its ability to lessen levels of cholesterol. It actually exerts various mechanisms to combat stroke, and it includes thinning the blood and limiting any clogging in the arteries.

This is according to the researchers from the University of Maryland Medical Center.

A study was published in the Journal of Medicinal Food.

In this research, it has been found that turmeric aided in relaxing the blood vessels. This means that the blood vessels widen and blood flows more easily resulting in a reduction in blood pressure.

While more studies are still being carried out to explore the powerful therapeutic goodness of curcumin deeper, it remains true that its use is widespread nowadays.

This is due to the fact that this phytochemical has shown promise in delivering a range of therapeutic benefits.

To experience its benefits, it is wise to take into account the use of Divine Bounty Curcumin (www.amazon.com/Turmeric-Curcumin-BioPerine-Pepper-Extract/dp/B00VSVKJ8I).
