The Medlin Law Firm gets two DWI case wins in a row by securing “not guilty” jury verdicts in spite of a 0.17 and .217 BAC.
The Medlin Law Firm obtains back-to-back “not guilty” verdicts by the jury in two DWI cases. The wins are additional victories in the firm’s long and growing list of such case wins. In one of the DWI cases, the accused was stopped by Keller police for running a red light. She was then found to have three open containers of alcoholic drinks in the vehicle. This would have enhanced the penalties for a DWI conviction.
Medlin’s client was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated after failing the sobriety test and getting BAC results of .147 and .153. During a two-day trial in Tarrant County, Texas Courthouse, the State’s expert claimed that the client likely had a BAC of .17 at the time of the incident.
The State’s witness was found to be promoting junk science thus leading the jury to reject the evidence and to pronounce the accused Not Guilty.
In another DWI case, The Medlin Law Firm’s client was accused of sleeping in the car, driving erratically, and blocking the roadway. The client was said to show bloodshot eyes, was swaying back and forth and was exhibiting slurred speech. The client agreed to a blood test, and the score was allegedly a BAC of .217. However, the jury found the client not guilty after a three-day trial.
