Understanding Water Damage In Real Estate

The Flood Co is pleased to announce, that we are doing our part in helping the realtors of Utah in becoming more knowledgeable when it comes to what’s important when helping you buy a good reliable healthy home.  Daryl Olsen, President of The Flood Co will be teaching a water damage class that can be used for credits realtors need as part of their annual license renewal. 

 

The classes will be held on September 10, 2014 for The Salt Lake Board of Realtors and on September 15, 2014 for the Utah County Association of Realtors.  The classes will be about the basics of water damage and the important things to look for in a home, making realtors more knowledgeable when looking for and helping you in purchasing your next or first home. 

 

Some people think “it’s only water”, and so they delay or do nothing. The reality is that “you only have one chance to get it right”, if it doesn’t dry quickly enough and develops mold it gets more serious and more expensive. You will learn practical and safe methods for diagnosing water damage, and what it takes to get things dry. You will also receive tips on making the insurance work more in your favor.

 

Daryl Olsen is a native of Utah and received an Engineering degree from The University of Utah. He also has an MBA from The University of Phoenix. Daryl has been performing water damage and mold cleanup in northern Utah for 22 years helping thousands of property owners. He has industry certifications in: Water Damage Restoration, Applied Structural Drying, Fire & Smoke Restoration, Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor & Inspector, Bio-Hazard Technician, Mold Remediation Technician, Mold Supervisor, Mold Assessor, and Mold Professional.
