(Newswire.net — August 18, 2019) — As many as 26 candidates are vying for the presidency of the United States of America. The elections are scheduled for November 3, 2020.

Joseph Biden, former vice president, is currently the Democratic Party’s strongest contender for the Oval Office chair.

Forbes Magazine explored how much wealth each candidate possesses. It was emphasized that none of the nominees directly answered the questions of this prestigious media about their property. Even some of the Democratic candidates who are notorious for their harsh criticism of Trump for his secrecy about his financial situation, did not disclose their own wealth.

According to Forbes, Trump is on the top of the richest candidate list with $3.1 billion in assets. He is also the richest president in US history, reports CDM. However, he didn’t invest a dime in his campaign the portal claims.

Behind Trump is Democrat Tom Steyer, with almost half less wealth than Trump. His assets are estimated at $1.6 billion. The money for his campaign has been raised by one of the largest hedge funds – Farallon Capital.

John Delaney is “poorer” than the previous two candidates. His assets are estimated at $ 200 million. He owns Capital Source, whose portfolio is valued at $ 542 million. Of that money, 190 million came from Steyer.

Michael Bennett served as US Senator for three terms. This Democrat, after leaving the civil service in 1997, played a key role in merging the three leading US movie production companies into one, which earned him a huge bonus, which he immediately invested. Today, he owns a hedge fund as well as a real estate agency.

Forbes also points out that the lecturing profession is still well paid. This is evidenced by Elizabeth Warren. She and her husband Bruce Mann, “weigh” $ 12 million. They earned the money as lecturers at the prestigious Harvard University, and managed to increase it by investing in mutual funds as well as real estate. Their home, purchased in 1995 for $ 447,000, is now worth just over $ 3 million.

Although considered a Democratic favorite, Joseph Biden is a “poor man.” His wealth is estimated at only nine million dollars’ worth in assets. This outspoken Democrat politician, who was also a deputy to Barack Obama after leaving the White House, received just over $ 15 million in book-writing fees from the Flatiron publishing house. Nine million dollars came after he bought a house in Delaware. He paid almost three million dollars for the house. The other three million went to pay off real estate mortgages he owns with his wife, Jill, across Delaware.

Kamala Devi Harris is an American lawyer and politician serving as the junior United States Senator from California since 2017. She is another Democrat millionaire. Forbs estimates her assets are worth six million dollars. This senator always knew how to make money. But by marrying Douglas Emhoff, she found her soulmate in finance as well. The couple has co-ownership of several law firms in the United States and own real estate in the most prestigious locations of Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington.
