Vaultas’ new 46,000 sq. ft. Class A facility will support a state-of-the-art, high-density Tier III/Tier IV data center, and Vaultas Fargo will offer affordable, vendor-neutral custom wholesale data center solutions and collocation and data center services for any business or service provider.
This is a high-security center, located outside the 100-year flood plain, with 30 ft. high concrete tilt-up walls, a concrete roof, and wind proof to 150 mph winds.
The facility currently has 400 tons of fully-redundant cooling (many data centers are moving north to take advantage of cold ground water reservoirs and cool temperatures 9 months of the year), a dual sub-station electric power feed, access to many local, regional, national and international fiber optic networks, 24x7x365 onsite security, and is designed with free air cooling, taking full advantage of the cool North Dakota temperatures and to reduce energy consumption. This makes it the most energy efficient data center in the upper Midwest.
With 5 independent and separate 5,000 sq. ft. custom data centers, Vaultas’ Fargo data center will also include 17,000 sq. ft. of multi-tenant technology office space, over 4,000 sq. ft. of Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BCDR) space to support any organization during any kind of disaster. This new Vaultas data center and collocation space will support everything from a single virtual server or digital storage system to full rack or cage collocation options for enterprise or small business needs.
