(Newswire.net — January 29, 2015) Barrington, RI — Rick Porter used to have the physique most men could only dream about. In high school he was the state wrestling champion in the 152 pound weight class division. Shortly thereafter he joined the U.S. Marines and spent the next four years stationed in Hawaii getting into the best shape of his life. Once out of the Marines he continued his work in fitness as a personal trainer. Rick Porter had abs, giant biceps, and his body fat was negligible. But, alas, life got in the way as it does for many people and he continued to make excuses for putting his health and fitness aside. Today he weighed in at 246 pounds (a whopping 50 pounds overweight) and it is the fattest he’s ever been in his life. He is tired of making excuses and is determined to lose 50 pounds over the next 6 months and is inviting people to follow him as he overcomes the excuses, pitfalls, and obstacles he faces during this mission.
Most people only get the before and after pictures of someone’s weight loss success. Rick is taking this one step further and he will be putting himself on video weekly so people can see the results as they happen. In his first video, he takes his shirt off and describes what it is like to have man boobs (D-Cups for those who are curious), gigantic love handles, and a keg sized gut. In order to meet his weight loss goal he will have to change some things about his lifestyle. When he was younger, Rick is now almost 44 years old, he didn’t have to worry as much about what he ate. Sadly, poor eating choices and failing to make it to the gym have inhibited his metabolism and all the blueberry pies he ate for dessert started to pack on the pounds. In his introductory video Rick Porter shares with viewers the workout regime he is going to stick to and what diets he will follow to help him reach his goal of losing fifty pounds over the next six months.
Losing fifty pounds of fat would put Rick at his ideal weight of 196 pounds. This is a lot of weight to lose and won’t be easy to do but it can be done. He has the two most important things on his side working for him, motivation and determination. His kids and wife are his motivation to improve his health. He wants to be able to watch his kids grow up and if he continues his current lifestyle this might get cut short. He also wants to be able to get out and join his wife on the tennis courts for matches and not blame his weight when he inevitably loses. Rick is also determined because he has decided that losing weight is not an option, it is a necessity. He will be following Tyler Bramlett’s, a personal friend, CT-50 workout program. To start he will be using an intermittent fasting diet to stimulate his metabolism and change his eating habits for optimal weight loss. (Unfortunately, this doesn’t include blueberry pies).
Tyler Bramlett’s CT-50 workout program breaks the best fat burning and muscle toning exercises into fifty different workouts. These workouts are broken down further into five different levels with increasing intensity and difficulty. The workouts can easily be done every day as they don’t require a lot of time. Rick mentions the four workouts he has done so far were 10, 15, 12, & 20 minutes long. He started these workouts during the holiday season to see the impact it had on his weight and despite excessive eating from Thanksgiving to Christmas he was able to maintain his lumpy figure. So just the workouts alone, without dieting changes, prevented Rick from being even fatter when he started his weight loss journey. By combining the workouts with the intermittent fasting diet he expects to see some pounds dropped quickly. Follow Rick Porter, share some words of encouragement, and help him achieve his weight loss goals.
