Westminster wedding photographer Rebecca Portsmouth has just photographed her one hundredth wedding in the City of Westminster. Rebecca, who has photographed more than five hundred weddings throughout the UK and overseas, specialises in civil ceremonies taking place in the city’s register offices.
The hundredth wedding was of London couple Anna and Renato – an interior designer and architect with four members of their families and a friend. They arrived on time for the 15-minute ceremony with Anna holding a blue and white bouquet and wearing a blue dress.
“It was such a thrill to photograph a wedding ceremony at Westminster’s new civil wedding ceremony venue Mayfair Library. The library was built in 1894 and has some wonderful period features such as a brick fireplace and stained glass windows. Each of the two ceremony rooms has a bay window, letting in beautiful natural daylight, said Rebecca.
Next door to the library, a red London phone box is a place where newly-wed couples can have wedding photographs taken. And a few steps away is Mount Street Gardens with well manicured green lawns, shrubs and large trees for family wedding photos.
“Of course, I miss Old Marylebone Town Hall, where I have photographed the other 99, but the registrars are the same, adding such a personal and professional touch to each wedding.” said Rebecca.
She offers one and two-hour short photography packages for Westminster wedding ceremonies and for those at Chelsea Register Office, also in London.
