(Newswire.net — April 26, 2013) Toronto, Ontario CANADA — Leading ereader manufacturer Kobo kept the pressure up yesterday with a mystery contest to launch the new novel Inferno by Dan Brown.
Winner of the contest will get $5,000 and a Kobo ereader signed by the author. The contest launch comes just days after Kobo was in the industry spotlight with the unveiling of its best ereader yet, the Kobo Aura HD, which it labels the “Porsche of ereaders.“
Dan Brown rocketed to fame 10 years ago with the best-selling mystery “The Da Vinci Code”. His new novel will follow a similar pattern based on Dante’s poem “The Inferno” written in the 14th century. The much-heralded Brown book will launch May 14.
In the style made famous by Brown, Kobo has come up with its own “find the clues” challenge called, appropriately, “The Descent”. Players must find clues in three short stories especially written by best-selling author J.F. Penn. Additional clues and tips are to be found in Kobo’s social media channels.
The first of the three short stories, titled “Sins of Temptation, is already available and the remaining two will be released one week apart, all free of charge.
The contest is running in Canada, the U.S. and the U.K. and ends May 14, 2013, the launch day for Brown`s Inferno
Details of the contest and a link to register as a player are published here in Canada-ereaders.com.
