(Newswire.net — March 16, 2016) West Vancouver, BC — In this constantly advancing world, women don’t have to think twice about setting foot on an adventure without a man or company by her side. In this day and age, the modern woman would rather go on vacation with her girlfriends or by herself than with her family. In a recent survey was conducted by the travel company Thomas Cook of 1,215 women worldwide who traveled with the company, which showed that 70% preferred travelling with their female friends to family vacations and 35% of the women showed more interest in outdoors, adventure, and wildlife.
According to Indiatoday.com, a different survey by Holiday IQ, with the purpose of finding out what women want while traveling in India. The survey pulled from 20,000 women in 30 cities and towns, giving a full spread of results. Out of the women surveyed, 72% of women prefer solo travel, 61% prefer better access to remote destinations, 55% prefer clean buses and trains, 49% prefer more female tour guides, 45% prefer more female taxi drivers, 28% prefer more women only buses and taxis, and 18% prefer safe accommodation options.
As more and more women have begun to travel on their own, it forces counties to make changes to the structure of their government and their tourism. This makes it more welcoming to potential female tourists.
“It was my own unexpected solo trip in Egypt that I gained greater confidence and courage upon my return home. With newly found confidence I overcame my fear of swimming for the fifth time and successfully operated a high end retail business for 5 years,” explains Melanie Eng, bestselling author of the book Gutsy Lady Travel: How to Build Unshakeable Confidence by Traveling. “It is my mission is to empower mature women through travel and have them to be more, do more and see more.”
“Travelling solo offers women opportunities for growth in ways that can only be understood if you actually go. Grab inspiration from Melanie and Gutsy Lady Travel, go solo and forge your own legacy of travel stories and personal strength,” says Janice Waugh, author of the Solo Traveler’s Handbook.
Solo travel doesn’t have to be a confusing, anxiety ridden nightmare. Eng’s book, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CONM512, shows you how to travel alone with confidence, deciding what you want to do every step of the way. “With my book, I will show you how to travel like a pro, to go off on your own when you wish and be alone, but not lonely – and to stay safe – from cosmopolitan cities to the most remote locales on the planet,” states Eng.
With Eng by your side, you will always know you will be traveling with a friend.
