Yoga Tropics Offers 200 Hour Yoga Training Program

(Newswire.net — July 12, 2016) Encinitas, California — Yoga Tropics West – Center for Yoga Studies is offering the first ever in Southern California 16 Day 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program. The program will take place August 6-21, 2016.

The training program takes place at the Yoga Encinitas Tropics West location at 965 Second Street and will offer a non-dogmatic style of yoga instruction and give participants a strong basic yoga foundation using the strengths of Ashtanga yoga, Bikram yoga, Iyengar yoga, Dharma yoga, and Vinyasa flow. In addition to yoga instruction, the training will also guide participants on how to successfully teach yoga to other people.

Furthermore, marketing and business modules will be part of the curriculum. Participants will learn how to use social media to their advantage and learn marketing strategies that will help them gain more popularity among yogis. E-RYT 500 instructors Tracey and Carla Stockalper will be the lead instructors in the program, both of which have certifications in Ashtanga Power Yoga, Bikram yoga, and Vinyasa flow.

The curriculum will include giving education on solid fundamental yoga practice, instruction and guidance on how to teach a yoga class, instruction on how to practice and lead a Sun Salutation Series, breath control techniques, basic meditation techniques for walking, mindfulness, concentrated and seated, foundations in Bikram, Dharma and Power yoga, workshop in basic arm balancing techniques, and workshop in basic inversions. During the training, the health benefits of yoga will also be taught, including the special physiological benefits from hot yoga which will be presented by Dr. Margaret Gabbard Stockalper.

Participants will experience a total immersion in the yogi lifestyle, and while yoga instruction is the main focus of the program, other activities will also be prepared to further educate the participants and help them get to know one another.
