Houston, November 24, 2009 (NEWSWIRE) Angelo’s Houston is pleased to announce and participant in the 1st Annual AWF, Music, Art, Wine and Fashion with local artists and designers working collaboratively and benefitting the Houston Salvation Army being held Friday December 11, 2009.
DJ Psychedelic Sex Panther will be spinning some current and retro tunes beginning at 7pm while artist J. Giroux (Read Write and Pep Rally) creates a live painting throughout the evening. Artist Whitney Riley is curating work for the walls at Angelo’s and Michael Henderson is curating the video work that will be on view throughout evening.
The fashion show by 3 local designers, Morgan Gilliland (Morgan Elizabeth Designs), Teresa O’Connor (Hello-Lucky and Lucky T’s) and Bronwyn Lauder (Freddie Barrett) will begin at 9pm with items from the show available for purchase straight off the runway. Craft Salon is generously providing hair styling and make up for the models.
The event will continue later into the evening with DJ Psychedelic Sex Panther spinning and J. Giroux painting.
We encourage everyone to bring items such as clean blankets and jackets to be collected at Angelo’s and donated to The Salvation Army. A portion of the sells that evening will be donated to The Salvation Army as well.
