He is a publisher of Billboard and the Hollywood Reporter, and involved with Back Stage, Film Journal International, The Bookseller, Kirkus Reviews, and several film-related expos and conferences. John has continued to produce business opportunities and create financially successful joint ventures and partnerships globally within the rapidly changing mobile and digital entertainment industries. He and his team took the company public in 1998, receiving 155 editorial quality awards along the way, and sold the company to John Wiley and Sons in 2001.

Over the course of his career, John has received many awards recognizing his business acumen, including recognition as a key influencer in Folio Magazine’s 2006 Folio 40 List, Media Industry Newsletters “21 Most Intriguing People 2006” List, Ernst and Young’s 1999 Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and awards from Advertising Age and The Irish America Magazine. John Kilcullen frequently lectures on corporate entrepreneurship at the School for Executive Education at Babson College, on brand strategy at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, University, and on cross-media publishing at the Stanford Professional Publishing Course. He graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Communications from Fordham College, and has taken executive development courses at Babson and Stanford. He lives in Pacific Palisades, California with his wife, Jessica, and their three sons.
