Shellie Hunt CEO & Founder of Success is by Design and Executive Producer of “Remake MY Life” a women’s empowerment television show was in Washington, DC January 28th – January 30th 2011 standing as one of the Judges for this years, “2011 Gracie Awards” from the Alliance for Women in Media sponsored by Dove.
The nearly record?number of media entries were reviewed during this weekend’s marathon judging session, hosted at the George Washington University School of Media and Public Affairs. Some of the previous winners such names as Katie Couric, Barbara Walters, Maya Angelou and many other outstanding women in media.
The Gracies are presented by the Foundation of the Alliance of Women in Media. Its main objective is to support positive progress and change. Shellie Hunt is a standing member of AWM which supports educational programs, charitable activities, public service campaigns and scholarships to benefit the public and women in the media.
The Gracie Awards, established in 1975, honor programming and individuals of the highest caliber in all facets of radio, television, cable and web?based media, including news, drama, comedy, commercials, publi service, documentary and sports. Each year recognizing exemplary programming created for women, by women and about women in all facets of media and entertainment, as well as individuals who have made contributions to the industry.
The awards program also encourages the realistic and multifaceted portrayal of women in entertainment, commercials, news, features and other programs.
National award winners will be presented at a nationally televised Red Carpet Gala at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, Los Angeles, CA on Tuesday, May 24, 2011
