(Newswire.net — March 6, 2013) Charlotte, NC —  What Have The USA’s Leading Food Provider And A Couple Of Entrepreneurs From Charlotte, NC Got In Common?

A collaboration that’s just produced an innovative new video commercial and a new song and dance craze that looks set to gain viral momentum on the internet, that’s what.

McDonald’s® USA, LLC, responsible for feeding more than 26 million Americans every day, sought to tap into the nation’s best professional creative talent, via the crowdsourcing website TongalTM, in order to promote its newly launched Fish McBites, the first new Happy Meal entree in 10 years.

Ready to tackle the challenge and keen to exploit such a rare opportunity to demonstrate its flair to a multi-national consumer brand leader, North Carolina-based LensFlare Creations, a video production company that’s still in its infancy, set to work by taking the insanely catchy jingle they were provided with as their inspiration, producing concepts and scripts to capture viewers’ imaginations.

After the preferred  storyboard was agreed, work began to identify talent and seek out a location for the shoot, both of which LensFlare’s founders wanted and were able to keep local although, when it came to sourcing costumes, a rather more extensive search them to a specialist supplier over 850 miles away in Boston, MA.

Then came the shoot. The song goes…’if you go down in the woods today you’re sure of a big surprise’. Well that certainly would have been the case for anyone stumbling across cast and crew at Camp Canaan, a 100 acre Island in the Catawba River in Rock Hill, SC, where rather than witnessing a teddy bears’ picnic, onlookers would have seen the rather bizarre sight of a black bear suddenly appearing, singing and dancing a jig, telling two helpless fishermen of a much easier way to satisfy their fishy cravings.

Delivering its promotional message in a humorous and memorable way, thanks to the enthusiasm of all concerned, despite aggressive currents, capsized kayaks, frost and chilly temperatures, the resulting video, which actually features a local hip-hop dancer dressed as the bear, was captured in just one morning. The finished edit can be seen at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QOrLMIOQs4.

Joseph Robba, creative director with LensFlare explains: “Despite being only a couple of years old as a business, between the founders we have decades of marketing and production experience and bags of creativity that we are keen to see realized. Taking on a project like this not only adds to our increasing portfolio of work for major brands like ESPN, Lowes and Frito Lay but, by virtue of the client’s name and worldwide presence, it multiplies our exposure and has the potential to propel a small business like ours onto the next level.”

“We believe we are a video production company like no other, able to come at things from a different angle as we deliver the highest quality creative media possible. We are imaginative, brand aware and meticulous in our attention to detail. We like being different and we like all our films to be different too, giving clients that feeling of excitement kids get on Christmas morning when they see what they’ve been given for the very first time.”

“We always strive to impress and remain acutely aware of the need to keep viewers entertained, engaged and informed; a passion we believe shows through in the films we produce. After this McDonald’s® shoot, another belief of ours is that you shouldn’t waste time trying to catch a fish when you can just go to McDonald’s® and pick up some delicious Fish McBites instead.”

After experiencing all that the production industry had to offer, and believing they could do things far better, LensFlare Creations was established in 2010 by directors Joseph Robba and Jonathan Andrews, the man primarily responsible for partner relations. The two founders are supported by Julie Robba, described by clients and colleagues alike as the creative heart and soul of the business.

From its base in Charlotte, NC, the video production business is able to serve clients from every type of industry with everything from broadcast commercials to motion graphics, corporate video, online content, video inserts for exhibitions and conferences and is also able to help with capturing and documenting live events.
