Beginning in 1983, Romar Supply started business as a plumbing and industrial supply house. In the mid 80’s, Romar became a full-service industrial supply house serving manufacturing plants, boiler manufacturing plants, OEMs, and plants with process piping.
From the late 80s to early 90s, Romar took on the mechanical and HVAC market, and by the late 90s, Romar had moved the majority of its focus to mechanical contractors and process piping contractors. In 1998, after the passing of Roy Adair, Romar became a certified HUB, WBE, and DBE corporation.
In the mid 2000s, Romar added the ability to fabricate steel and stainless steel products. In 2008, a steel fabrication shop was added. Romar’s focus became a steel pipe supplier, valves, fittings, and steel fabrication.
In 2010, Romar added an additional branch in San Antonio, Texas to cover central and south Texas. Currently, Romar continues to grow in both inventory and fabrication capabilities, necessitating the purchase of a 116,000 square foot facility to house both supplies and a steel fabrication shop, thereby consolidating their three North Texas locations to produce a more efficiently run business.
Romar Supply currently employs 60 people statewide, covering North Texas, Oklahoma, and central and south Texas.
Romar’s vision is to assist mechanical and process piping customers in their businesses by having all of their PVF and steel fabrication needs handled by one supplier, and to expand to other markets that requires steel pipe, stainless steel, and fabricated products. Romar Supply carries a full line of pipes, valves, fittings, and plumbing materials from the world’s most respected manufacturers, including Anvil (Gruvlok), Watts, Weldbend, Sharpe, Spears, Crane, Elkhart and other industry leaders.
