(Newswire.net – September 25, 2012) – Irvine, CA – eWaste Security announced their certification by the National Association of Information Destruction (NAID) endorsed for mobile operations in computer hard drive and non paper media destruction. eWaste Security is one of only four companies in Southern California certified for mobile operations both both hard drives and non paper (backup tapes, CDs, DVDs and thumbdrives). The NAID Certification Program establishes standards for a secure data destruction process including such areas as security, employee hiring and screening, operational destruction process, and insurance.

“We are very pleased to have gained the NAID AAA Certification for mobile hard drive destruction and non paper media destruction.” said Gary Scott, CEO at eWaste Security. “This NAID certification provides our clients an added level of security that their sensitive data will be destroyed with the highest level of professionalism and latest industry standards.” eWaste Security is based in Irvine, California and provides diverse data destruction and electronics recycling services primarily in Southern California with clients nationwide.

NAID is the largest and best known international trade association for companies providing information destruction services. NAID’s mission is to promote the information destruction industry and the standards and ethics of its member companies. The NAID AAA certification process involves an external audit performed by security professionals with the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) accreditation. The CPP accreditation is issued by the American Society for Industrial Security. Currently, less than 50% of NAID Members are certified.

eWaste Security owner and CEO Gary Scott says that his company is different than most in the industry in that they provide a high touch, full service approach with their clients. “We want our clients to know that eWaste Security is their partner in ensuring their data security when disposing of all e-waste,” says Scott. “We stay abreast of all the latest data privacy laws and industry standards so that our clients can rest assured that their sensitive data is destroyed and will not fall into the wrong hands.”

eWaste Security provides mobile hard drive destruction and other electronic media destruction services and comprehensive e-waste recycling to a variety of businesses in multiple industries. eWaste Security’s client base is centered primarily in Orange County and Southern California, but they service clients nationwide. Their specialty is mobile, on-site data destruction that allows eWaste’s clients the added security of electronic storage media being destroyed on their clients’ premises. On site destruction can mitigate some of the risks involved with transporting sensitive data storage media off site where its final disposition cannot be monitored by the disposer.
