(Newswire.net — May 6, 2013) Garnerville, NV — Gailen Bell has been voted the “Best Mother of The Year” for Mother’s Day according to Kyle Bell.  “The loving mother and grandmother that lives in Garnerville Nevada spends most of her time playing with her beautiful grandchildren,” Kyle explains, “and she really loves working in the yard.”

Kassidy, who is Gailen Bell’s 7 year old granddaughter was quoted saying “My Grandma is the best Grandma in the whole entire world, and I wouldn’t trade her for any other Grandma!”  Kyle says, “It was a hands down vote by mom’s kids and grandchildren, with no one else in the running for our favorite Mother in the world.”

“I cannot put into words the way I feel about my mom,” Kyle says, “so I would like to express my feelings with this poem written by Lisa M. Farley.”

“If I Could Build A Friend”
by Lisa M. Farley
If I were able to build a friend, I’d choose the qualities on which I could depend.
Her eyes would tell me how much she cared, and relieve my hurt when I felt alone and scared.
She’d smile that smile that says it’ll be okay, I’m always here for you night and day.
She’d cry with me when my world fell apart, and I’d know the tears were from her heart.
She’d make me feel like a V.I.P., and no one could ever be dearer to me.
So where should my search begin, for this special lifetime friend?
There’s only one person I trust for advice, so I reach over to pick up my phoning device.
It occurred to me as I dialed the number, this extraordinary friend is my very own Mother.
As you say, “hello”, I get chills down my spine.
You’re my very best friend dear Mother of mine.

Gailen Bell has enjoyed almost 4 decades being married to Doug Bell, creating a wonderful family that now has voted Gailen as The Best Mother of The Year!  Being the eldest son of Gailen, I wanted to make sure this Mother’s Day did not pass without her knowing how special she really is, so that is why I am including this final poem to try to show my Mom how she has touched me.

“You Are My Heart And Soul”
by Elizabeth A. Robinson
Thank you…
For standing by me through thick and thin
For not giving up on me when I didn’t win
For your patience when I kept pushing you away
For caring when I said I didn’t need you anyway

I am grateful knowing…
I can count on your strength
Ask for your support, and know you’ll go to any length
When I lose my way
You help me get back on track
When in pain
Your comfort soothes and brings me back

I am lucky because…
When I was sad you gave me faith and hope
When I was confused you taught me how to cope
When I felt I couldn’t go on
You carried me long miles
When I didn’t believe
You restored my smiles
Mom, Thank you
For your guidance and the faith you’ve shown
For giving me a safe place where I have grown
For showing me how to strive
Because of your love
I will survive

“All I can really say at this point, is Thank You Mom,” Kyle explains with a reflective look in his eye, and as a smile covers his face he says, “Gailen Bell is truly the Greatest Mom in the Whole World!”
