Small Business Receives No Bailout, Creates Own Economy

(Newswire.net — May 8, 2013) Santa Clara, CA — For many small businesses, there was no bailout by the Federal Government to keep them afloat during the dismal economy.  The plan for banks to distribute billions was not the same plan created for the local business working hard to support their local community. One local business owner is proud of what he has created for his local economy, and believes the small local business is the heartbeat of local economy.

“If there is one thing I am proud of, it is my company Integrated Door Solutions, Inc. It supports 45 people putting food on their tables. We have put over $15 million into the local economy. We have paid over $2 million in taxes” said Jeff Matteson, owner of Integrated Door Solutions in Santa Clara, CA.

“Since we are a small business most of the revenue stays in support the local economy. We provide medical insurance, benefits and vacation for our employees. We have done this without the help of big business or the banks who politely took our credit lines away just when we needed them the most. We have survived by working together with other small businesses that support each other.”

The feds gave the banks billions to redistribute to small business in the form of loans. Yet, there were no stipulations placed on how that money was to be spent, or what new programs would be offered.  Many small businesses were hoping that the “bailout” would provide much needed relief, but most local business owners saw nothhing.  “I do not know one small business owner that has received a new credit line from any of the banks since the bailout. I have personally put much of my savings into my business to help it survive. My golden parachute is to survive and make my business prosper” said Matteson.

“As a small business owner we are 100% responsible to the company, community, and debt. Unlike the big business CEO’s who can walk away no harm, no foul after leaving devastation in their wake.”

Matteson went on to say “Small business drives 50% of the US economy, yet the US Government lets Wall Street and the banks continue to step on us, giving us little support. They would rather bail out the corporate bullies that line their pockets than support the REAL working man.”

Although many of the larger corporations contribute to local business, there is a disconnect for many from their local communites because they have driven so many of the “mom and pop” businesses out.

Matteson said “Remember when things go wrong in your community it is the small business owner and their employees that will come and help. We live in every part of America and support our communities. Don’t expect companies like Chase, B of A, Wells Fargo, and Wal-Mart to come and help.”

Please support the small business in your community, contact your congressman and ask for change.
