Each year the Virginia Pilot announces it’s “Best of the Best” award winners for the Hampton Roads area. This year Golden Slippers Dance Academy, won the prestigious Gold award for being the best dance studio not just in the city of Virginia Beach, but in the entire Hampton Roads area as well. With all of the dance studios in the local market, that is no easy feat.
This has not been an unusual experience for owner Susan Browney who regularly wins the Best of the Beach Award. Browney said about receiving the award, “It is such an honor to receive an award like this. Golden Slippers Dance Academy was established in 1978, they offer dance training of the highest standards. The school offers classes ranging from pre-school through advanced levels. Their instructors are fully qualified in dance instruction.
Golden Slippers offers ballet, tap, pointe, modern, lyrical, hip hop, jazz and ballroom instruction.
