Wine Tasting Consultant Woos Tampa’s Taste Buds

(Newswire.net — November 7, 2013) Tampa, Florida — Charles Visalli, the founder and owner of Time For Wine has always had the culinary passion for food and wine ever since he was a child.  It is this interest that surrounded his family with his Italian roots whereby family traditions of meals and wine were always a part of these gatherings.  Visalli enjoyed so much of this childhood passion that he never stopped yearning to share and open up the world he encounters as an adult.  He and his wife make it their business to travel and see the world, understand the respective cultures in the countries they visit, and delv into indigenous cuisines and wines of the local country folk.

To hear Visalli speak about wine is to listen to a historian talk about the genealogy of life and its transcendental migration through time.  It’s almost impossible to not envision  the countryside where the grapes were grown with the sunshine bellowing down against the countryside and terraced steps of winery landscaping.  His descriptions are analogous to an artist’s brush against the canvas while he paints the sensation in your mind and taste buds to the point where the wine is almost touching your tongue.

As a food town, Tampa Bay has seemed to become a perfect environment for Visalli to sow his wine tasting seeds, as the finer restaurants have cropped up in different neighborhoods and aficionados of food and wine seem to be increasing in numbers.  Even the Tampa Ray’s manager, Joe Maddon, is a wine connoisseur and about to open his own Italian restaurant in Tampa’s Soho with a selective and extensive wine list.

Visalli’s company, Time For Wine does a number of charitable events using wine tasting as a vehicle to draw out the crowds of donors to attend these functions.  His interaction with the crowd is as much entertainment as it is educational in offering knowledge and flavor joined together.  His vast understanding of wines and foods has made Tampa’s wine market quite enjoyable for the expert down to the novice of wine tasting.  Visalli will be the first to quip that there is no right from wrong with tasting wine.  It is in fact a very individualistic preference as everyone’s taste buds differ dramatically.  He does engage with all levels of wine people and makes each engagement an enjoyable outing creating an environment where the attendees are always thirsting for more.
