(Newswire.net — January 26, 2014) Chicago, Illinois — Tim Haywood, a Chicago realtor is in his tenth year helping people in Illinois with real estate. I met Tim earlier this year. The first impression I had of him was this is a good guy that knows his business very well. In Tim’s case assisting people with buying, selling, renting or having a place they are renting out is what he does and here is who is.

Tim knows people and his business very well.

That is important. In our world of massive information no professional can have all the facts in their head. The reason is that facts change. The best professionals have the confidence to ask questions and research what you are talking about. It is not always necessary but tells you they care enough to check.

I have had the pleasure of doing some interviews with Tim.

John: “Tim you came into real estate when it was up then went into what could be the craziest time ever for real estate. Why did you want to be working in real estate and how come you are still here after all it’s been though?”

Tim: “Real estate has been my passion since I was a child. I always saw myself as playing a supportive position in things I did. I was more interested in my team winning than my being the star. I wanted to find and help my friends and my clients with what would be best for them. My success came by doing what I do naturally. I have a very good sense about people. People have always come to me knowing that I am not judgmental. I not only listen and hear them but I like to. I feel happy when what we have done has helped make them happier and more successful. Napoleon Hill said it “It is literally true that you can succeed best and quickest by helping others to succeed.” I believe that. The concept is great and real estate gives me a way to apply it.”

John: “Tim, in my working with you, I found you very easy to talk with. I know that the only way we can get something done is if the person I am working with has good information. I found that many agents I talked with were mechanical and it can be uncomfortable to talk to them. What this means is that time is wasted by looking at properties that will not work out. It can also mean dealing with selling techniques that are the old way of doing things. I always felt we were talking and the replies I got from you were honest and insightful.”

John:  “Before you started your real estate career you spent 20 years in the Marines. What can you tell us about that?”

Tim: “I spent a couple of years in college and then felt I wanted to go into the military. I looked at all the services and felt the Marines would be the best match. After doing a variety of jobs I became a recruiter. I liked the job. I liked the Marines so talking to people that had an interest came naturally.

The Marines have a lot to offer. When young men and women would come in they had an interest. Often, in fact mostly, they had only a vague idea of what they wanted to be or become. I found I was good at helping them see what was in them that brought them to looking at the Marines. We could find why were they here?

Once we know why then we can find how and specifically what fits. The next part was how the Marines could help them become what they wanted to be. When that matched up the next step was become a Marine. They not only became a Marine they knew why. The Marines can be very tough and you need to have a clear Why. Those years as a recruiter refined my senses and skills with people in a very practical way. In real estate that has proven itself.”

John: “How exactly has that translated into real estate?”

Tim: “Sure. It is about people. People might be looking for a home that is best for their children. They might be an investor with property to rent in the city. They might want to sell to move to a new area. It is essential to get to know the people not just show properties. I feel that helping them means greater success.”

John: “In your current practice has the economy affected you?”

Tim: “The economy and real estate has affected everyone but that can work to your advantage if you know how. If everything is great than anyone can succeed. When things are hard that is when you find out who the professionals are. Not everyone succeeds as a Marine and not everyone succeeds in real estate. Quitting goes against everything I believe. I see the current time as the best time and it is the time we have so we make it the best time.”

John: “Where do find your clients come from? Is it any particular demographic, age, income or anything else?”

Tim: “I get many referrals. These are people that feel comfortable referring people to me. I deeply appreciate the people that think so highly of me they would suggest others contact me. I never want to let them down.”

John: “Is there something that makes you feel happy”

Tim: “Seeing the happy, excited look on a person, persons or a families face when they walk into their new home. I also like the satisfaction investors have when they see their property at work for them.”

John: “It is clear to me why you are doing well. I’m going to tell everyone about you. In fact people can reach Tim Haywood at the phone and email below so give him a call now.”
