AMG Services opened it’s second car repair location Tuesday. After opening their first location just two short years ago, the company welcomes Chris Brown as chief mechanic in their second garage on the other side of the city.

“I’m excited to have such an amazing opportunity,” says Brown. “AMG is a well-respected garage and I still can’t believe I’ve been hired at such a high position. It’s an honor.”

AMG Services opened their first humble location two years ago, but the garage got so much business in that time that AMG quickly outgrew the small facility. Their second location is twice as big as the first and can service twice as many vehicles.

“Being the chief mechanic is going to be a big change for me,” Brown admits. “I’ve worked as a mechanic for a large dealership for six years, and I always stayed really busy. This is my first experience in a management style position. It will be different.”

Brown will have his work cut out for him. The new location features a full-service oil change center with the ability to do a 21-point check up on any vehicle that crosses it’s doors and perform routine maintenance without tying up a mechanic. The location also employs 18 full-time mechanics, allowing the garage to service anywhere from 30-50 vehicles with more serious problems daily.

“There is room for growth, too,” Brown says. “The owners purchased more land behind the facility. In the event that the garage is successful, they can put up another service garage and add more mechanics fairly quickly.”

AMG’s second engine repair shop is located on Oliver road. They are open Monday-Friday 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. – 2p.m.
