LTM Pet Services, a mobile pet grooming and therapy company, will begin serving the Metro area this spring. LTM, which stands for Love Those Mutts, is a dog grooming company that specializes in show quality breeds. The company will also sell pet products on their website and from their mobile unit via a pop up shop.
“I love animals, and I also love making people happy, so a pet grooming business was a natural choice for me,” says LTM Pet Services founder Scott Tucker. “I showed purebreds for years at local and national dog shows as a hobby, and had to make sure they were in top form, so I know my way around show dogs very well.”
LTM Pet Services will have seven mobile dog grooming units that can be booked online or by calling the LTM Pet Services office. Customers give LTM staff information including dog breed, age, weight, and service requested and mobile units are scheduled.
“People with purebred, show quality dogs are pretty picky about who gets to groom them,” says Tucker. “That’s why we only have experienced groomers on our staff, and that’s why we only use and sell the highest quality products.”
Tucker was inspired to start LTM Pet Services throughout his time as a dog show regular. Oftentimes, he would need some big or small grooming in the days leading up to a show. He learned to complete advanced grooming techniques, and colleagues began asking him for advice or even to do some grooming for their show dogs.
Tucker has decided to sell some of the dog grooming products as well as fashion items from mobile units. Groomers are equipped with card readers so they can sell items such as bows, shampoos, nail clippers, and dog clothing.
“Dogs are fun, and people shouldn’t forget that,” says Tucker. “That’s why we do all the hard work, and let the owners just relax and help the pups accessorize.”
