(Newswire.net — August 21, 2014) Irvine, California –“The Art of Science Learning” Play Day was recently held in Balboa Park and sponsored by Dramatic Results with help in part from a donation by United Van Rentals. With the help of UVR as well as other sponsors, children were able to learn about science, technology, engineering and math, also known as the STEM subjects, in an interactive way through projects and exhibits.
The themes for this year’s Play Day was “Builtopia.” Children were encouraged to envision and build a Utopia based on their own designs. Using recycled materials and those donated by various companies in the area, the children created a number of interesting exhibits including a dinosaur puppy playground, a library with a river for floating around the world and a solar-powered rocket to prevent car sickness.
According to Christi Wilkins, the founder and Executive Director of Dramatic Results, the donation by United Van Rentals helped make the day even more special. “I hope the joy, focus and collaboration you see in the children above convey the impact of your generosity in supporting Dramatic Results’ work,” said Wilkins as she thanked United Van Rentals for their donation.
