(Newswire.net — December 17, 2014)  — The Georgetown Ravens rugby team, part of the East Coast Rugby Association has announced plans to sign a contract with massage therapist Scott Tucker for the upcoming season. He will be replacing long time veteran Charles Wilson who has been with the league for more than seven years.

“We were looking for someone who would be able to fit our high demands and standards,” says Jill Billows, co-owner of the Georgetown Ravens. “And Scott Tucker fit the bill nicely. He has the credentials and the experience not to mention he’s an actual rugby fan.”

Tucker started his career shortly after he finished college, becoming a licensed massage therapist and clinician. For three years he worked in several group practices and hospitals before settling down with his own private practice. Specializing in athletes, he quickly made a name for himself in the area, receiving visits from both high school and college sports teams.

This is the first time Tucker has moved outside of his practice to such a large degree. Even when working with teams in the past, it was on more of an individual basis. Tucker has expressed excitement and a readiness to accept the demands of a touring sports team.

“When Jill approached me about the position I was pretty surprised,” says Tucker. “I have been around athletes for most of my career, but being on the road with them and working with a specific team for this length of time is outside of my experience. On the other hand I am always looking for ways to expand my knowledge and expertise so it was a pretty easy decision for me.”
