(Newswire.net — December 17, 2014) Portland, Oregon — Scott Tucker, professional musician and local resident, will begin teaching music lessons this winter at his home studio in Portland, Oregon. Lessons are going to be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Musicians of all backgrounds and experience levels are encouraged to enlist.
“Now that I’m finally free of touring commitments, I’d like to spend my time teaching musicians how to master their craft,” said Scott Tucker. “I remember being a child and my father taking me to my first guitar lesson. It was such an exhilarating experience; I’ll never forget that day.”
In addition to major string instruments, Scott Tucker has expressed the desire to focus on common woodwinds and percussion as a starting point, and is expected to add new lessons based on demand. According to Tucker, the first class is designed as a student evaluation in order to properly place the individual in a group that is most conducive for growth.
“Three weeks ago I was watching Scott Tucker’s band play live at the arena downtown,” said aspiring musician Grace Hedberg. “Having the opportunity to train with a professional musician is very exciting. I’ve already reserved a practice slot, and I’m looking forward to working with him and developing as a musician.”
Lessons will comprise of 30 minutes of theory followed by 45 minutes of technique, and will occur Monday through Friday. Enrollment details are available through Scott Tucker’s website.
