(Newswire.net — February 3, 2015)  Barrington, RI — Rick Porter has invited people to join him throughout his weight loss journey on his website BodyTransformationNation.com. His very first video featured him taking off his shirt to reveal his love handles and man boobs. This video introduces viewers to Rick who once was a high school state wrestling champion and personal fitness trainer. However twenty years (and a lot of extra weight) later he is no longer in the excellent shape he once was. Like many others, his New Year’s resolution was to get back into shape and drop the extra pounds he’s been carrying around. At 246 pounds he has set his goal weight at 196 (50 lbs less) and Rick has given himself a six month timeline to lose that excess fat. His latest video is the first check in since he has started his diet and exercise program.
At BodyTransformationNation.com Rick will document his journey towards his weight loss goals and improved health. His first update comes on January 13th, 2015 and comes two weeks into his new diet and workout regimen. The video starts by discussing the new 80/20 rule he is following for his diet. Most importantly, Rick has completely eliminated junk foods and is no longer eating sweets, candy, sodas, or delicious blueberry pies. Combining this effort with his new rule where he makes healthy eating choices eighty percent of the time he anticipates losing ten pounds in the first month of his journey. By allowing himself that twenty percent window where he can “cheat” on his diet he doesn’t have to alienate himself from his family dinners. When they all sit down for the family meal he can have pizza, chicken parmesan, or whatever else is on the menu.

In previous dieting attempts Rick notes that he felt like he was impacting his children by eating different meals than the rest of the family. How can he eat these wholesome meals at dinner and still expect to see weight loss results? Rick is on an intermittent fasting diet and shares with his viewers a link where they can get the exact diet he is using for free. Intermittent fasting is a dieting program that has people eating during specific windows of time during the day. The particular diet Rick follows has people skipping breakfast, drinking meal replacement shakes at noon and three, and thus allowing him to eat his normal meals at dinnertime. By skipping certain meals and eating during the specific time frames people are able to increase their metabolism and eliminate weight loss plateaus. Just using this diet Rick admits he would probably see some weight loss results but in order to drop fifty pounds in six months he knows that will require some exercise too.
Currently Rick has been using Tyler Bramlett’s CT-50 workout program. He chose this workout primarily for two reasons. One, he knows Tyler Bramlett personally and has seen the results others have achieved from it and secondly, the challenging cardio workouts do not require a lot of time to complete. Rick did three workouts (the week before the update) and each one was between ten and fifteen minutes long. Additionally, it requires very little room or equipment as Rick shares with the viewers in the video. After discussing his workout routines and dieting changes Rick Porter invites the onlookers into his kitchen to see the exact shake he makes every day.
In total Rick presents about twelve different ingredients, but not all of them go into every smoothie he makes. Some of the essentials are almond milk (although water can be used instead), organic cocoa powder, bananas, and frozen berries. The frozen berries he uses as a substitute for ice, getting a good consistency but also loads of antioxidants. Furthermore he uses a high quality protein powder from BioTrust Nutrition, which contains digestive enzymes, to help break down the foods he eats. Many of the ingredients he is able to pick up directly from whole foods but for a few of them he must purchase online (such as the Superman Herbs & Biotrust Protein). The last few ingredients he talks about that he sometimes adds to shakes are goji powder, a greens powder, and chia seeds. Each of these superfoods contain beneficial ingredients to further along his weight loss goal and overall nutrition.
