(Newswire.net — February 9, 2015) Salem, UT — Growing a national business is a feat in itself but growing a family business on a national level is quite an accomplishment. Kip Wadsworth recently shared with Utah Business Talk how his family run business has become a national success.

Wadsworth Development Group specializes in developing commercial real estate properties. Their development portfolio contains office space, retail space, hospitality, industrial properties, and land. Some of their better known projects include over 7 ground up Starbucks buildings. Because of the pride that they take in their properties, they later started Wadsworth Property Management to keep their high standards in maintaining the properties.

During Wadsworth’s interview, he shares how his family has balanced a successful business with family relationships. It comes down to really being able to think of the business and family before yourself. Wadsworth also shares the great benefits of having a small, family run, nimble team of 16. The smaller team is nimble and able to react quickly and fill niches that the larger development groups can’t.

Wadsworth’s pride in his family and business is evident. He shares how Wadsworth Development Group started with his father’s engineer training. The work ethic and opportunities that his father provided have now grown to 2 businesses with properties in 7 states.

As the company grows, they have had to hire experts outside of the family. Wadsworth family is ardent about who they bring into the family business. They take a lot of time to ensure that the outside hire’s personal and business traits fit into the company’s culture.

Wadsworth Development Group is passionate about how they work, who they work with, and the quality of their work. This passion is developing a family legacy for the Wadsworth and the businesses that they support.
