(Newswire.net — April 9, 2015) New York, New York — “Krill oil is the best source of omega-3 in the world,” according to Dr. Dennis Goodman, a renowned integrative cardiologist, one of “America’s Top Doctors,” and author of the new book The Thrill of Krill: What You Should Know About Krill Oil coming out June 2015 by Square One Publishers (ISBN 9780757004186, $15.95 US, $19.95 CAN), and available on amazon.com.

 “As an integrative cardiologist, I’m passionate about preventing heart disease and investigating new research that can help save more lives,” said Dr. Goodman, who also serves as the Director of Integrative Medicine at NYU. “The more I looked at the science supporting krill oil, the more I became convinced krill oil is the preferred source for omega-3 supplementation.”

 The Thrill of Krill is the first book to provide a clear understanding of krill oil and its role with restoring and maintaining optimum health. Dr. Goodman provides the latest research on krill, along with details of how krill oil supports health, including an explanation of the differences between fish oil and krill oil.

 Dr. Goodman says krill oil is an essential and superior omega-3 source because of its concentrated form, phospholipid composition and astaxanthin content. The reader will become familiar with these terms, but more simply stated, “Our bodies can absorb more, and therefore benefit from the omega-3 found in krill, without the fishy burps and aftertaste,” he said.

 According to Dr. Goodman, research has shown that omega-3s from krill oil may improve or even prevent a broad spectrum of debilitating disorders and conditions related to inflammation.

Omega-3s from krill oil helps:

– protect against coronary artery disease, heart disease, and stroke;

– lower blood pressure and cholesterol;

– reduce arthritis pain;

– moderate premenstrual discomfort; hormonal issues

– stave off depression; improve memory, mood swings

– support skin health

Last year, Dr. Goodman penned the best-selling “Magnificent Magnesium: Your Essential Key to a Healthy Heart and More,” which received rave reviews. This year, he turns his attention to krill oil, as he continues to support natural ways to prevent heart disease, the No. 1 killer in the US.
