Alex Black Golf is offering a special Mother’s Day golf clinic on Saturday May 9th at 9am. As a special gift for Moms that love the links, complimentary Mimosas will be handed out. The event promises to be a huge success. The 1 hour lesson costs $20 per person and is available by reservation only.
The popular golf clinic is taught by the owner of Alex Black Golf, Alex Black himself. Mr. Black is a certified PGA Instructor who began his golf instruction career as an Assistant Golf Professional at Gainey Ranch Golf Club. He then moved to the PGA Tour Superstore where he quickly became the Head Instructor. Alex Black has been instructing professionally for the last 4 years at Superstition Springs Golf Club. “I’m always trying to grow the game of golf and help others.”, said Mr. Black.
While Alex Black Golf is a relatively new company, Alex is not new to golfing. “I grew up with my Dad getting me into golf at the age of 3 and always wanted it to be a part of my life.”, he said. The early involvement with golf seems to have instilled a passion for the game in Mr. Black. He played junior golf through high school and graduated from Arizona State University with a Professional Golf Management Program in 2009. “I feel blessed to get to make my passion, golf, a career.”, he said.
Alex Black Golf offers a variety of golf instruction clinics through out the year, Mr. Black typically works one on one with students in a fun and interactive learning environment. Of particular interest is a real time golf swing analysis offered to students right on the course during their golf lesson. Using a slick computer video recording system, students are able to see intricate aspects of their swing in slow motion and receive instruction and guidance to improve. “When students recieve immediate visual feedback on their swing, they are able to make corrections and perfect their swing much more quickly.”, Alex explained.
When asked for a final comment, Mr. Black said, “I take pride educating and helping people with this game. I take their strengths and weaknesses and make them stronger. I enjoy working with golfers of all ages and skill level but really like growing my junior programs at the course.”
