(Newswire.net — May 11, 2015) Phoenix, AZ — Over 61 million Americans are affected with some sort of mental illness.  This May, in support of Mental Health Awareness month, mybody Advanced Probiotic Skincare is joining forces with Bring Change 2 Mind to help end the stigma surrounding mental illness.

Mental health became a very near and dear cause to the heart of mybody Co-founder, David Watson, after his daughter, Emily, lost her courageous battle with borderline personality disorder and depression on March 17, 2013. In her honor, Watson is committed to educating the world on mental health in hopes of ending the stigma with Bring Change 2 Mind. “If I can help change the perception of world towards people who are sick, so we can get them the right help, maybe I can save a life,” says Watson.

Unfortunately, negative attitudes and beliefs toward those who have a mental health condition are common.  mybody’s partnership with Bring Change 2 Mind aims to end this discrimination so those afflicted can talk about their illness and ultimately get help, without worrying about how they will be perceived.  Bring Change to Mind provides relief and important resources to those in need, hoping to change stigmas surrounding mental illness and pave a clearer path from illness to wellness.

For the entire month of May, mybody is donating 20% of all sales from 3 of their most popular probiotic skincare products to Bring Change 2 Mind in an effort to change the way the world sees mental illness. The company is encouraging people to “Shop It Forward” with GLOW FORWARD Thermal Probiotic Enzyme Treatment Mask, BRIGHTAMIN-C Vitamin C Age Repair Serum and FUTURE IS BRIGHT Probiotic Anti-Aging Hydrator, the perennial favorite of the mybody skincare line.

In addition to this campaign, mybody continues to support mental health efforts throughout the year by donating 1% of its total sales.

About Bring Change 2 Mind

Bring Change 2 Mind (BC2M) is a national anti-stigma campaign aimed at removing misconceptions about mental illness. The idea was born out of a partnership between Glenn Close and Fountain House, where Glenn volunteered in order to learn more about mental illness, which both her sister, Jessie Close, and nephew, Calen Pick, live with. Their mission is to end the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental illness through widely distributed Public Education Materials based on the latest scientific insights and measured for effectiveness. BC2M also acts as a portal to a broad coalition of organizations that provide service, screening, information, support and treatment of mental illness.
