(Newswire.net — July 3, 2015) — “Through a decision by the Iraqi Council of Ministers, the Iraqi PM has decided to form a media unit inside the Iraqi Army. Iraqi government officials stated that The Millitary Media Unit will provide reports originating from the Iraqi Minister of Defense, Iraqi Interior Minister, and the leadership of the Shiite militia movement known as the Hashd al-Shaabi, or Popular Mobilization Units.
The goal of the unit is to create coherence and prevent contradictions among official reports and statements.
