New Orleans Public Defender Tries Crowdfunding

(Newswire.net — September 18, 2015) Las Vegas, NV — John Oliver is known for his satirical take on the world and for hosting the television show Last Week Tonight with John Oliver on HBO. While he has taken on everything from transgender rights to televangelists, this last week his mission was to take on the problem that public defenders face every single day. According to a 2009 study, by the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, New Orleans is left bloated by caseloads for some public defenders that leaves them with just seven minutes per case, on average. This forces public defenders to ask their clients to make a plea deal instead of going to court.

According to The New Orleans Advocate, Chief Public Defender Derwyn Bunton has launched a crowdfunding campaign to try to offset a projected $1 million drop in revenue. Since the issue has caught attention from John Oliver’s program, the campaign jumped from $7,000 to $14,500 overnight, with donations coming from Hong Kong and the Netherlands. The crowdfunding campaign has a goal of $50,000 and features a series of cocktail hours as a way of thanking people for their donations.

“Our public resources face the same problems as the private sector. From New Orleans to your hometown business, we all need more financial capital. It doesn’t matter if you are new to online marketing and just starting out. We’ve all bought products and trainings from some of the world’s top experts and still can’t connect the dots. In the public sector, this may be even worse. Most entrepreneurs have invested thousands of dollars on a website, domains, hardware, coaching and consulting, most of it is totally wasted,” relates Jim Graham, head of Kickstarter Millionaire, a product that will share all the secrets and strategies behind making your crowdfunding goals a success. “People invest thousands of hours of their time, early in the morning, late in the afternoon, late at night studying emails, opt-ins, sales pages, membership sites and still can’t make heads or tails of what actually works.”

“I’ve gone from earning my first 16 cents to earning well over $1 million per year online. The fastest and easiest way to make big money online is NOT to go alone, but to do it with experts, those who not only know what they are doing, but CURRENTLY have consistent proof doing it in today’s market. I realized it truly takes a team to take it to the next level,” Graham explains.

It’s true that it’s hard to make it through the business world without a team dedicated to help you succeed. Without people who know the ups and downs of business every step of the way, it will be difficult to know exactly how to make money and what decisions to make.

While making money through crowdfunding seems nearly impossible, it can be made possible with the help of Kickstarter Millionaire. Using Jim Graham’s product, http://www.kickstartermillionaire.com/, you will be taken into the war room and shown not only the launch of the product, but how it is made. “Launching ANY product (crowdfunded or otherwise) requires a highly detailed and proven system. Most entrepreneurs struggle with the 4,325 tasks they have to do every day and are too busy staying alive rather than launching something really BIG. Think about it. Watching, copying and participating in this 8-figure launch is something that has never been done before in the history of the Internet.” Says Graham.

If only his system was used by the public sector as well, perhaps local and state governments wouldn’t be in such dire straights. Maybe a cocktail hour with your local District Attorney crosses the line, but not in New Orleans.
