(Newswire.net — December 23, 2015) Richmond, Virginia — New Marketing Plan for Salon Plaza Members helps beauty professionals rise to the top. Coming soon to all licensed beauty professionals, our new 6-Figure Income Plan shows Salon Plaza Members how to identify their CORE POWER and develop the 4 ELEMENTS they need to make it in the beauty industry. Best part of all, this Plan only takes 2 pages!

The diagram shows the new 6-Figure Income Plan for salon professionals in plain view. Until the new program is released early in 2016, only Salon Plaza Members can get full access. You won’t find out all of the Insider Secrets in this article today… But I CAN share with you the basics and reveal how our Members plan to make 2016 their best year ever.

Note: This Income Prosperity Plan is only for beauty professionals and salon owners who are driven to do better in 2016 than ever before. If you are content with your current income level and salon experience, then these Insider Secrets are not for you. Otherwise…

Start Here:

You will need to identify your CORE POWER and define your 4 ELEMENTS. Your Core Power contains 3 points:

1: Your WHY

What drives you? What do you really want? If you have enough REASONS… you can do anything! Reasons come first, answers come second. Reasons can change your life. We see two drivers giving you the determination to improve your life:

Personal – Recognition, respect, joy, and the satisfaction of doing well

Helping others – We often do for others what we won’t do for ourselves

Here’s an excellent saying to inspire you to dig deep for your answers:

“The bigger your WHY, the easier the HOW.”

To get you thinking about your WHY, answer these 3 questions:

1) Why did you become a hairstylist, barber, nail tech, or esthetician?

2) How does this give your the power to fulfill your life dreams?

3) What difference will your success make for you and your relationships – your family, your clients and your community?

Your answers are what will keep you moving forward in your chosen career. Read more about this at “Salon Owner Success – What is Your WHY?”

2: Your WHAT

What makes you different from every other beauty service provider? Why would someone choose you over any other? Knowing this is key to your success. Forget being bland and generic.

Make your salon “About Something”. You must fully embrace the skills and values that the people you serve desire most.

What can you do better than anyone else in your area? What makes you uniquely you? Write down your personality traits, your training, and your experience.

3: Your WHO

Now that you know your WHY and your WHAT, it’s time to get clear on WHO you serve. Many beauty professionals think their best opportunity is to serve “anyone.” Although it might be an advantage to be capable of serving whomever walks through your door, it’s hard to PLAN to fill your book that way.

When you get right down to it… “Anyone” is always “Someone” – with specific needs, wants, and qualities.

Make your salon “For Someone”. The easiest road to prosperity is to understand who your “ideal clients” are, meaning – the people you most ENJOY serving and have the SKILLS to serve best – and can afford your services. This is your target market.

Ask yourself, who can benefit most from what you do? Here’s how to work through that basic, must know question…

Current clients: Think about a particular, favorite client. Someone you want to serve and have more just like him or her. This is how you can start thinking about your target market.

Characteristics: Qualities like age, male or female, type of hair, preferred services, and lifestyle are important factors for choosing your target market. What do your favorite clients have in common?

Location: People get personal services like hair, nails, and skin near two geographic centers – home and work. Take an afternoon and drive through the neighborhoods and business parks near your salon. Which areas have the kind of people you like to serve and who can afford you?

For more help with these tough but essential questions, check out “Who Else Is Looking For What Only YOU Can Provide?” on our Salon Plaza Success Blog. These topics are fully covered in our Income Prosperity Plan for Salon Professionals, to be released early in 2016.

Now you have your CORE POWER: You Why, What, and Who. Let’s move on to your 4 ELEMENTS each with two aspects. Just like breathing, you have to inhale and exhale.

Element 1: EARTH

Inhale: Skills

You already know that continuing to develop your skills is essential. You must stay current and improve your service. Salon Plaza offers continuing education for its Members.

If you are not a Salon Plaza Member yet, look around your area for classes offered. Keep your feet in the river of learning… the world around you is always changing.

Exhale: Space

Is your salon space helping you or hurting you? To answer that question, Salon Plaza put together a video to help you see the best ways to develop your SKILLS and your salon SPACE. To create the environment that works best for you and your clients, watch our FREE 7 Secrets Video

Element 2: FIRE

To build loyal relationship with your clients, you must develop your passionate PROMISE and remain dedicated in your PURPOSE. Tapping into these two strengths will help you stand out from all other beauty industry service providers.

Inhale: Personality

In this competitive, fast-paced beauty industry, your number one most important advantage is not your beauty skills. It’s not your location, although those are both important. Your MOST important asset is your PERSONALITY.

Use your personality to build your clientele by being approachable. Whenever you have a break between clients, head out to some place where your target market can be found – a high end dress shop, for example. Take business cards with you and pass them out just by being friendly. Put a smile on your face tell the person about your shop and your services.

They will tell someone else, and the referrals will go on and on.

Exhale: Story

People can relate to another’s personal story if it’s genuine, relevent and engaging. You must create an ARC – an Authentic, Relevant, Connection. Think about what’s great about your life now. And then think back to when things were just beginning. How did you go from wanting to be a salon professional, to actually getting your license and growing your client base?

Your personal story reveals your strengths and helps others to connect with you. You will discover how to craft your personal story when our Income Prosperity Plan gets released early next year.

Element 3: WATER

Inhale: Ask for Referrals

For most salon professionals, referrals are the life-blood of their business. And yet, many fail to ask for referrals. Why is that? It might be self-confidence. It might be just knowing the right words. Or maybe a little practice to make asking second nature.

Fear not – all this is covered in detail in our new Income Prosperity Plan. All licensed cosmetologists will get access to this early next year.

Exhale: Give Rewards

People like to be recognized and rewarded for their efforts. Beauty Pros must create a system that works and is easy to put in place. A simple way to do this is to hand each client 3 business cards with their name hand written on the back. Then when a referral gives back one of these cards, the client will get credit.

Element 4: AIR

Here we’re talking about using the Internet wisely to attract new clients and book more appointments with current clients. To make Internet marketing work for you without wasting your time and money, it takes two parts:

Inhale: Show up

For starters, when your prospects and customers are looking for you on the Web, you must show up and get found. There’s a lot to know to do that well, but for starters be sure that you are in the local directories under your category of salon.

Next, be consistent with the keywords you use in your descriptions, such as “hairstylist in Richmond VA” or “natural hair care specialist in Sterling VA”. It’s helpful to include your city with your specialty categories.

Exhale: Reach out

The second benefit of being on the Internet is that salon owners can reach out to prospects and stay connected between appointments. This includes Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and sending out emails.

Because this is a big topic, Salon Plaza offers more than 31 FREE blog posts about Social Media and Email Marketing. You can find the link on the right column as a Category in our Salon Plaza Success Blog.
