They were all hacked by a group that leaves their signature as “Crackas With Attitude.”
The South East Regional Organized Crime Unit has confirmed that the leader of the notorious group known as “Cracka” was arrested last week in the East Midlands, England, by British authorities with the help of the FBI, Deep.Dot.Web reported. the hacker’s name wasn’t released, however the authorities said he is 16-year-old hacker “with pro-Palestine convictions.”
Reportedly, the group, who are experts in “social engineering” recently drew media attention by hacking the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security, releasing thousands of names, positions, emails, and phone numbers. Though the FBI attempted to delete the content, the information had already been mirrored and shared across the internet so many times it became impossible to contain the damage.
In an email to the media, SEROCU (South East Regional Organised Crime Unit) made this statement:
“The South East Regional Organized Crime Unit (SEROCU) can confirm we have arrested a [16]-year-old boy on Tuesday (9/2) in the East Midlands on suspicion of conspiracy to commit Unauthorized access to computer material contrary to Section 1 Computer Misuse Act 1990, conspiracy to commit unauthorized access with intent to commit further offences contrary to Section 2 Computer Misuse Act 1990 and conspiracy to commit unauthorised acts with intent to impair, or with recklessness as to impairing operation of a computer contrary to Section 3 Computer Misuse Act 1990.”
Reportedly, after spending 7 hours in a cell, Cracka was released on bail, The Daily Dot reported, citing a hacker associated with CWA, who said that the bail is unconditional.
Hackers from “Crackas With Attitude” confirmed they will continue anti-government acting despite their leader being arrested.
“Just because they managed to arrest two members doesn’t mean we’ll stop hacking them,” he then went on to say “Give us time, you’ll see. :)”, CWA member told Motherboard.
Now that “Cracka” has been arrested, the attacks will only intensify tweeted a hacker suporters, who also threatened to “deal” with the “snitch” once they find him.
