STAT+MD Encourages Participation in National Nutrition Month

National Nutrition Month®, observed annually in March, is a nutrition education and information campaign sponsored by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. This campaign shines light on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and exercise habits.

This year’s theme, “Savor the Flavor of Eating Right,” encourages people to take time to enjoy traditions, joys, flavors, and social experiences that food adds to our lives daily. By taking more time to appreciate and savor food, people are able to properly consider how, when, why and where they eat, ultimately developing a more mindful approach to eating.
