1) The daily caloric content should be roughly between 1,200 and 1,500 calories. Adjust the caloric intake based on your basal metabolic rate, physical activity.

2) High protein diet with a wide variety of protein sources throughout the day is necessary for a complete amino acid profile in order to energize cell mitochondria to produce heat instead of storing energy for fat conversion. 3) Consume four to five meals a day at designated times while synchronizing your central circadian clocks with those meal times.

4) Do not eat anything for at least three hours before bedtime in order to avoid spiking blood sugar and insulin levels.

5) An overall low-glycemic diet with the lowest-glycemic meals at dinner to keep your insulin levels low.

6) High fiber foods at every meal. Aim for 35 to 40g of dietary fiber every day.

7) Low to no saturated fat, with more unsaturated fat.

8) No added sugars and keep fructose intake to a minimum. Stick to moderately low-sugar fruits only during breakfast and lunch time and absolutely not at dinner time.

9) Avoid foods potentially contaminated by environmental toxic chemicals that can alter your metabolism (I.E. Pesticides, etc…)

10) Pay attention to foods you may be sensitive to such as gluten and dairy.
