Trump VS Clinton: A Pillow Fight that Made Americans Lose Confidence in Media

(Newswire.net — February 23, 2018) — Following the propaganda law brought on by Joseph Goebbels of the Nazy Party, “Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth,” mainstream media is eager to set the ground for Trump’s impeachment campaign repeatedly accusing the US president of collusion with Russians who allegedly helped him win the 2016 elections.

The same principle drives Trump’s satellites to orbit around Hillary in an attempt to prove she took money in exchange for “favors” while Hillary was the State Secretary in Obama’s administration. According to unidentified sources, Hillary allegedly used her position to gain personal profit from donations to the Clinton Foundation.

The idea that Russians can influence the US presidency is equally scary as the allegations that the worlds No1 superpower can be hired to exert the interests of anyone who has the capability to pay.

While eagerly accusing each other of lying and wrongdoings, the Clinton and Trump clans are waging a secret war, racing against the clock.

Trump uses his presidential leverage to accuse Hillary for treason amid the hacked server incident and for corruption with the Clinton Foundation and at the same time the Democrats are using media to discredit Trump accusing him of collusion with Russians.

American writer and journalist Robert Bridge, author of the book ‘Midnight in the American Empire,’ explained “why the US Democrats desperately need a Russian bogeyman.” In an article published by Russia Today, Bridge wrote about reasons for the Democrat’s hurry to impeach Trump. Apparently, the DOJ reopened an investigation about Hillary’s breach of security protocols while she was the Secretary of State and about her exchange of confidential emails and documents through a hacked personal server stored in her house. Also one of the reasons according to Bridge is a major corruption accusation against Hillary.

“Critics have accused the Clinton family of using the foundation to enrich themselves and give donors special access to the State Department when Hillary Clinton was its head,” Bridge cited NY Times in his article published by Russia Today, one of the global media blacklisted by the US for being biased towards Russian interests.

This story would unlikely interest someone from media houses sponsored by the Democrats, which is a vast majority of the mainstream media in the US, but Russia Today America based in Washington published the article.

The war on disobedient media resulted in forcing RT America, to register as a “Foreign agent.”

For those to whom this move sounds natural, here is a reminder: “Foreign agent” is a World War II law term for registering media who worked to block pro-Nazi propaganda.

Having the majority of media constantly repeating the story about Trump’s collusion with Russians made it seem like Trump can’t win. Trump’s impeachment has been initiated by Democrats – U.S. Representatives Al Green and Brad Sherman. The idea became so popular it even got a Wikipedia page.

Then suddenly, like the plot of a movie, something unexpected has happened. Alex van der Zwaan, son-in-law of a Ukrainian-Russian oligarch, has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his conversations with an ex-Trump campaign official. This propelled Trump’s claims on “Fake News” – “a dirty game” that the Democrats are playing.

It may not be a coincidence at all, but a brilliant move by someone from Trump’s team, some say. Be it higher force or political spin, it resulted in deterioration of trust in media.

Latest surveys show that mainstream media sinks to a new low when it comes to public trust. According to Washington based media group WJLA voters feel that the Trump administration is more truthful than news media.

When it comes to relying on the national news to keep them informed, 32% of Americans have a “fair trust” in media, with Republicans agreeing 14% of the time (32% last year), Gallup reports.

While the pressure on President Trump in media intensifies, Trump’s attorneys have given a green light to start the process of appointing a second special counsel to investigate the FBI and Justice Department’s behavior during the 2016 presidential campaign, according to a report by Axios.

That means Trump would pressure the FBI to probe the Clinton case and if they succeed in proving the allegations, it would be interesting to see what would happen next. According to some US politics analysts, it would change nothing.
