The new subcompact SUV is designed to deliver the power and luxury of a traditional SUV coupled with the efficiency and maneuverability of a sedan and will be on sale at the Houston dealership.
The new Buick Encore features the curb appeal, spacious interiors, and optional features usually found in larger luxury SUVs while showcasing the sporty nimbleness of a much smaller car. Designed for city driving, the Encore delivers quiet comfort, smooth handling, robust infotainment and safety features.
The subcompact SUV is available in six variants with the base model featuring a 4-cylinder, 1.4-liter turbocharged engine that generates 138 hp and the Sport, Essence, and Premium variants featuring a 153-hp engine for improved highway performance. The four-door Encore is available in FWD and AWD variants controlled by a 6-speed automatic transmission and is expected to deliver 25 to 33 mpg.
The 2018 Encore has been ranked as one of the top subcompact SUVs available in the United States by multiple consumer and industry rankings.
