(Newswire.net — March 13, 2020) Orlando, FL — Health authorities have long been warning against the health dangers of sleep deprivation. However, oddly enough, it has been found that oversleeping can also take a toll on health.

A study has shown that sleep duration is linked with cardiovascular disease and death. More specifically, cardiovascular ailments can affect the heart and blood vessels, and they include heart attacks and strokes.

In this research, the authors investigated the cardiovascular risk linked with every hour below seven hours – and each hour above eight hours – of sleep per night. It is further worth mentioning they also looked at the link between sleep quality, cardiovascular disease and death.

They found that getting over eight hours of sleep was linked with the increased odds of cardiovascular disease. More particularly, a 17 percent increase for nine hours and a 23 percent increase for ten hours of sleep.

A link between longer sleep times and the heightened risk of premature death was also found. In particular, there was a 23 percent increase for nine hours, a 52 percent increase for ten hours, and a 66 percent increase for 11 hours of sleep.

While these study findings are interesting, experts recommend not making any rash changes in sleeping patterns. However, it is also worth mentioning that individuals who struggle from sleep issues may take into account taking some measures to prevent it.

The National Sleep Foundation says that there is actually no specific number of hours people are required to sleep. However, it is worth noting that there are underlying causes of oversleeping.

One of the culprits of oversleeping is restless leg syndrome, which is a condition that causes unpleasant sensations in the legs as you lie or sit still.

According to the Ohio State Comprehensive Cancer Center, anemia can lead to extreme fatigue, muscle weakness, dizziness and mental fatigue. All of these trigger the body to sleep longer to fight fatigue.

It is worth mentioning that deficiencies in certain nutrients like folic acid and vitamin B12 may lead to anemia.

Individuals who want to reduce their risk of the undesirable health consequences of having anemia may take into account increasing their intake of B vitamins. It is worth noting that these nutrients have long been studied due to their medicinal values.

They can be obtained from consumption of various healthy foods items, but there are also supplements available. One is Divine Bounty Vitamin B Complex, which has long been gaining increasing popularity in the global market (www.amazon.com/dp/B07414752B).
