THE SHOW MUST GO ON Award-winning Comedy in Newcastle-Under-Lyme

After careful consideration, the ROFL Comedy Club has decided to continue to run as usual with one important change – there will be reduced audience capacity to lessen the chance of personal contact.

According to the BBC, most people who get the COVID19 virus experience feeling miserable for a week or so with a cough. If you have any serious health issues or symptoms such as a fever and a cough, it is advisable to stay home and self-isolate.

 Otherwise, we think that people should be sensible, hygienic, and live their lives. After all, laughter is the best medicine!

 Award-winning comedians will have audiences rolling on the floor laughing at Staffordshire’s only dedicated comedy club from the 19th to 21st March.

There are brilliant acts on the bill on Friday and Saturday and the show is headlined by John Fothergill, “Everything he says is funny. He looks like he was born on stage, under a follow spot, with a mic in his hand” (The Guardian) 

Fothergill has performed to critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe and toured extensively around the world. His T.V. appearances include “Live at Jongleurs” “The Stand-up Show” and various topical comedy shows.

The support act is award-winning comedian Freddy Quinne. His ‘uniquely northern observational humour’ (Lancashire Evening Post) has seen a meteoric rise into some of the biggest clubs in the country. Quinne couples “clever, well-placed gags” (Pickled Egg) together with a vulnerable persona for a unique experience that combines to make ‘a real tour de force performance’ (Alex Boardman). 

James Alderson’s one-man show, “Bring Back the 80s” has been cancelled.
