(Newswire.net — April 29, 2020) Winnetka, IL — The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United States warn that 35.2 percent of adults in the United States are getting less than 7 hours of sleep each night.

Scientists have long been warning against inadequate sleep, which has been associated with a myriad of undesirable health outcomes.

According to researchers, there are various factors that affect sleep quality and quantity and one is stress. It is important to be warned that chronic sleep deficit has been found to produce lasting mental and physical health issues.

The CDC report warns that getting less than 7 hours of sleep every night increases the risk of stroke, diabetes, heart disease, obesity, arthritis, kidney disease, and depression.

Experts reveal that stress causes sleep deprivation due to the fact that it frequently places the body in a heightened state of alertness, which can cause a delay in the onset of sleep. It is similarly worth mentioning that it also triggers rapid, anxious thoughts to happen during bed time.

It is worth being warned that insufficient sleep can further trigger and worsen stress. It is strongly recommended to resort to the measures helpful in fighting stress.

Multiple studies have been carried out to explore the mechanisms behind the development of stress. Surprisingly, it has been found that certain natural remedies like ashwagandha are found potentially useful.

In India, ashwagandha has been used for centuries for a range of medicinal purposes and it includes fighting stress. This tonic could be useful for individuals who want to fight stress and the myriad of undesirable health consequences it produces.

It is worth mentioning that ashwagandha could work wonders in helping the body adapt to stress and strengthen its systems.

In a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial, the investigators studied 64 adult subjects with a history of chronic stress. At the end of the study, the investigators found ashwagandha lowered stress levels by 28 percent.

The findings of this research were published in the Indian Journal of Psychological Medicine.

More particularly, the participants treated with ashwagandha extracts scored better on the three different psychological tests measuring stress, anxiety, and overall well-being.

Scientists suggest ashwagandha may be beneficial in significantly reducing anxiety, depression, and insomnia. Its use is actually associated with a myriad of health benefits, and this is why today it is widely resorted to via supplementation.

NutraHerbals Ashwagandha is one of the formulas many people resort to nowadays. It is worth mentioning that this supplement is popularized by its high potency, and is also equipped with top-quality ashwagandha (http://amazon.com/organic-ashwagandha-root-powder/dp/B01GZALWGO).
