(Newswire.net — May 7, 2020) Orlando, FL — Over decades, researchers have been investigating  the various contributing factors of conditions like high cholesterol. Some studies found that physical activities do play a significant role in cholesterol management.

According to Amit Khera, MD, lots of people, even lots of doctors, assume that exercise lowers cholesterol.

Khera is director of the University of Texas, Southwestern, Medical Center’s Program in Preventive Cardiology.

“But until recently, most of us weren’t sure just what the connection was,” Khera adds.

Researchers reveal that one of the ways exercise aid in reducing cholesterol is by maintaining the body’s healthy weight. It is important to realize that carrying excess pounds has long been found to increase the amount of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) in the blood.

The LDL cholesterol is the bad type and is linked with heart disease. The HDL or good cholesterol is one that should be enhance to benefit the heart and overall health.

Researchers further suggest that exercise aids in stimulating certain enzymes that aid in moving LDL from the blood to the liver. From there, cholesterol is then converted into bile or excreted. The more one exercise, the more LDL the body is able to expel.

More studies are still being carried out to explore more of the effects of exercise on cholesterol health.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reveals that around 31.7 percent of the U.S. population have higher than normal levels of bad or LDL cholesterol.

There are many ways to manage cholesterol levels, and surprisingly one involves the use of a remedy called activated charcoal. This natural remedy called activated charcoal is popularized by its highly porous surface, which is extremely adsorbent.

Scientists suggest that activated charcoal has been able to demonstrate its ability to bind with and eliminate cholesterol from the body. In a study, it has even been able to lessen LDL levels and increase HDL or good cholesterol levels.
