( — May 7, 2020) Orlando, FL — In the United States, the latest federal data revealed that one in ten kids are diagnosed with a condition called attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

Scientists believe that some environmental factors contribute to the development of the condition. These include chemical exposure and maternal substance.

A study was published in The Journal of the American Medical Association, which is a peer-reviewed medical journal by the American Medical Association.

In this research, the investigators suggest that the rampant technology use in American adolescents may be a contributing factor in the increasing prevalence of ADHD.

Researchers suggest that ADHD is characterized by consistent inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity.

Health authorities strongly recommend an ADHD nutrition plan to control the symptoms of this condition. This is in addition to the medications usually prescribed by doctors.

It is strongly recommended to consume foods high in protein and vitamins and avoid artificial flavors, sugar, and common allergens. It is important to be warned that deficiencies in some types of foods has been found to worsen ADHD symptoms.

An ADHD diet is usually one crafted to ensure that the body is getting adequate levels of nutrients from foods helpful for optimum brain function.

Medicinal herbs like ashwagandha have been found to be potentially useful in cases of ADHD. This natural healing ingredient has long been reputed to offer a range of healing benefits.

According to researchers, ashwagandha combined with peony, Gotu kola, spirulina, Bacopamonnieri, and lemon balm enhanced response time consistency and speed, impulsivity, and focus.

This study involved 120 children with ADHD.

More studies are still underway to explore more of the healing goodness of this herb. It is worth mentioning that ashwagandha has long been believed to ward off a range of diseases and disorders.
