(Newswire.net — June 3, 2020) Orlando, FL — More and more researchers are recommending some helpful measures to help people maintain good eyesight. It is important to realize that having poor eyesight affects more than just one’s vision.

A study was published in the Scientific Reports journal.

In this study, it has been found that those who are visually impaired are at the risk of falling by stepping higher and more slowly over objects.

It is also further worth mentioning that individuals with vision impairment tend to be more cautious when stepping over obstacles when walking – but increase their risk of falls.

This study was carried out by the researchers at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU).

In this research, the investigators asked the participants with simulated blurred vision to negotiate a 10cm-high obstacle on the floor under increasing time pressure. It is worth noting that they recorded the manner the participants negotiated the obstacle as well as their gaze.

The results of this research have shown that impairment in vision lifted their lead foot by 43 percent higher and 10 percent slower over the obstacle than the control group. It has further been found there was an increase in walking by 20 percent faster.

According to the researchers, the group with vision impairment also exhibited more anxiety by 32 percent than the control group irrespective of time pressure.  They also looked down more frequently and for longer as they approached the obstacle.

Today, experts increasingly study on the ways to help people improve their eye health. It is worth realizing that nutrients are extremely beneficial for the health and protection of the eyes.

B vitamins are some of these nutrients, particularly B6, B9, and B12. According to experts, these nutrients exert varying mechanisms to benefit eye health.

In some studies, the combination of these vitamins aid in reducing levels of the protein called homocysteine. This protein may be linked with inflammation and the heightened odds of developing AMD.

Another B vitamin called riboflavin works in decreasing oxidative stress in the eyes and various areas of the body. Its use has even been linked with cataract prevention. It is worth mentioning this B vitamin is an antioxidant, and this means it could offer many health benefits.

Another way B vitamins aid in eyesight is because of niacin, which is also called vitamin B3. It is important to realize vitamin B 3 aids in converting food into energy and can also act as an antioxidant.

Formulas like Divine Bounty B Vitamin Complex may be useful in delivering the healing goodness of these B vitamins.

It contains Choline, Pantothenic acid, Biotin, Vitamin B12, Folic Acid, Niacin, Riboflavin, Thiamin, and vitamin B6 (amazon.com/dp/B07414752B).
