Women of Color Therapy Mental Health & Wellness Courses & Resources Launched

(Newswire.net — July 6, 2020) — Women of Color Therapy has launched therapy sessions and fundraising campaign with the goal of providing free and low-cost therapy to women and teens of color.

California-based organization Women of Color Therapy has launched a multitude of resources focused on helping women of color cope with mental illness and promote wellness across the community. The organization is currently running a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for their initiative, as well as promoting a monthly book club and providing in-person and online therapy sessions for woman and teens.

The organization is focused primarily on providing therapy and coaching sessions to help women of color overcome issues related to mental health, and to help them get the tools they need to achieve success and happiness.

The mission of Women of Color Therapy is to help the heart-centered, ambitious women of color and teens heal from emotional and physical trauma. The team of mental health professionals strongly believes that once women begin to love themselves, they can begin down the path of individual and collective healing.

The goal of therapy, classes, and coaching sessions is to help women and teens of color pursue their dream careers, experience deeper and more meaningful relationships, and ways to effectively manage stress.

The organization is currently running a GoFundMe campaign to raise money to be able to provide free and low-fee therapy for women and teens of color, by women of color. Women of Color Therapy was founded in 2019 by Tamika Lewis, a community advocate, licensed therapist and mother of two who felt the need to respond urgently to the need for more mental health services for women of color.
